C Jazz ii–V–I
ii – V – I progression in C major
C Jazz ii–V–I — ii – V – I
The C ii–V–I progression (Dm – G – C) is the most important cadence in jazz. The subdominant provides motion, the dominant creates tension, and the tonic delivers resolution. With seventh chords (Dm7 – G7 – CMaj7), it is the definitive jazz sound.
