F Jazz ii–V–I
ii – V – I progression in F major
F Jazz ii–V–I — ii – V – I
The F ii–V–I progression (Gm – C – F) is the most important cadence in jazz. The subdominant provides motion, the dominant creates tension, and the tonic delivers resolution. With seventh chords (Gm7 – C7 – FMaj7), it is the definitive jazz sound.
